This sizeable reference begins with a thorough introduction to Office XP, first providing a brief overview of each of the Office components, and then embarking on a more extensive tour of the shared functionality within the Office XP suite. Areas covered here include document management and printing as well as an exploration of the common options offered by the Office toolbars. One chapter of particular note in the introductory section examines the Web publishing features of Office XP.
With the introduction over, the remaining sections cover each of the programs available in the Standard, Small Business and Professional editions of Office XP individually. Most coverage is devoted to Word, the widest used program in the Office suite, but Excel and Access are also given a reasonable examination.
